The Durban Green Corridor is a multi-faceted initiative that focuses on transforming Durban’s rivers and green spaces into vibrant hubs for eco-tourism, recreation and conservation. The rivers include the Umgeni river and the umhlatuzana river. They have litter booms which have been carefully positioned to work with river currents and prevailing winds, the litterbooms work to prevent trash traveling down the rivers leading to the ocean.
