The menu at Vigour and Verve is exciting and varied. It offers an amazing fusion of flavors inspired by local South African cuisine mixed with international influences. For breakfast, we totally recommend the Eggs Benedict. It’s absolutely scrumptious. Their Breakfast Burrito has a South African twist sends our taste buds into overdrive with its zesty tangs and wealth of fusion based flavors. We love to sit by the window to watch the vibing Snake Park Beach activity while we sip on one of their wonderful Barista made coffees. Durban life at its best! Its a key part of the Durban Vibe and one of the best restaurants in Durban.

During lunchtime, the restaurant buzzes with energy as professionals and tourists flock in to savor the unique ambience and fine cuisine. For starters we recommend the Biltong and Avo Salad or the Spice Dusted Calamari, with that delicate curried flavor that screams out the fusion cuisine that Durban is so well known for. We have many other favorites, but for us these 2 stand out.

For mains you can’t go wrong with anything from their grill where they use the amazing eKasi flavors that make regional South African food so special. Our personal favorites are their regional dishes. The Cape Malay Lamb Curry with that unique eKasi fusion of spices unique to this region that are out of this World. Or the Picked Fish with its beautiful fresh baked South African Mosbolletjie Bread. The smell is heavenly and we can’t get enough of it. 

In the evening, Vigour and Verve transforms into a sophisticated dining destination. The dinner menu features a selection of appetizers, mains and decadent desserts. Enjoy their signature crispy pizzas, their unique range of Braai Broodjies with hand cut fries, or our personal favorite, the Wood fired Pert Peri Chicken. They take Peri Peri chicken to a new level by mixing in some of those amazing eKasi spices. It’s mouthwateringly tasty and leaves us with that warm fuzzy feeling of complete satisfaction.

Then the desserts. What can we say? They have a wide range of amazing and tasty sweet and savory delights that will leave you fighting to make a choice. You can pair your meal with a glass of wine or a crafted cocktail from their extensive beverage menu. Vigour & Verve serves craft beer, cocktails, whiskies and spirits as well as as hosting a well selected wine-list. We love this place and if you’re visiting a Durban attraction nearby, go try it.
