For us it’s one of the best restaurants in Durban and its authentic Portuguese inspired  flavours make every dish zing with flavour. It’s inspired by the Afro-Porto fusion cuisine of Mozambique. It proudly takes its place in the Durban Vibe where ethnicity, culture, art, business and cuisine merge to create our unique Durban lifestyle.

From the moment you step through the door, you are greeted with warm Mozambican hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere. The decor is inspired by the coastal charm of Mozambique, with wooden accents, earthy tones, and touches of blue reminiscent of the ocean. The ambiance is relaxed and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a casual lunch with friends or a romantic dinner for two.

For starters, We highly recommend trying the Peri-peri Chicken Livers or the Grilled Calamari. Both dishes are bursting with flavour and are the perfect way to kick off your Mozambican culinary adventure.

For mains, the Prawn and Chicken Combo is a must-try. The succulent prawns are grilled to perfection and are served with tender chicken and your choice of sides. Marinated in their trademark Afro-Porto flavour, then flame grilled to perfection.

If you’re feeling adventurous, be sure to try the LM Prego roll – a Mozambican take on the classic Portuguese sandwich, filled with tender steak and a spicy peri-peri sauce. It’s our personal favourite and we are sure it will become your favourite too.

No meal at Mozambik Morningside is complete without trying one of their decadent desserts. The Chocolate Mousse served in a coconut shell is absolutely scrumptious but we also adore the Dom Pedro – a South African classic made with Amarula liqueur. It’s a favourite pülace of ours, and if you’re visiting a Durban attraction nearby, it’s a must visit.
