The decor and style inside cries out the pure white of Old Havana restaurants which sets the scene for the Latin American themed diner. It’s decorated with a hint of Cuba, a dash of yesteryear and a slice of KwaZulu-Natal old school. It’s a great example of how Fusion Cuisine combines different national foods into the best combination of all. That is the perfect example of how the Durban Vibe flows through everything in Durban drawing cultures and people together. Little Havana’s slick, contemporary decor creates a space that’s elegant and relaxed, linking back to that wonderful Cuban vibe of the past. Its menu is varied and offers a full range of offerings including seafood, lamb, pork, salads and their World famous steaks. 

We recommend you try their Marrow Bones for starters that are served with toast and onion marmalade. We also love the Calamari and Chorizo, the fresh seafood and the beautiful peppered sausage work so well together.  The fun of ‘Playing with Samoosas’ is also a fantastic combination of flavors, you’ll love it! It’s a gourmet delight. 

For mains, then it has to be one of their amazing steaks. Tomahawk, filet rump or any other cut works. For something a little more adventurous, try the Venison or Ostrich. The homemade steak sauces that accompany them are the best. We recommend the Whiskey Cream Cheese, Jalapeno or the Chimichurri. They are exceptional.

Their specialties are the Greek style rump and filets which taste even better when had with one of their suggested wines. Their wine list includes some really impressive labels like Dom Perignon, moet and many more. They have an excellent wine cellar and the sommelier can give you a tour if requested.

If you’re not in a steak mood, then the lamb shank and Tomahawk pork chop are seasoned perfectly and delicious. Great options for vegetarians are available and are equally as tasty. We recommend you try the Homemade Gnocchi or the Fettuccine Havana.

What trip to Havana would be complete without a great Cuban cigar, hand rolled by a beautiful Torcedores (Cigar roller). Smoking may not be your style but for those that do indulge, this is the ultimate in classic taste. The restaurant offer a wide choice of Cuban cigars for your pleasure. Don’t worry though, there is a special place for this outside so the restaurant does not have a smoky atmosphere. We love this place and if you’re visiting a Durban attraction nearby, it’s a must visit.
