One of our favourite baked products at The Glenwood Bakery is their sourdough bread. Baked to perfection, its crispy crust and soft, airy interior make it an irresistible treat. Try the Sourdough toast and house made jam/marmalade, you won’t regret it. The bakery’s croissants are another highlight—flaky, buttery, and light, they pair wonderfully with a cup of their freshly brewed coffee. Speaking of coffee, their espresso is rich and robust, crafted from locally sourced beans that epitomise the artisanal spirit of Durban.

Their lunch menus feature daily changing sandwiches, handmade pastas, freshly made flatbreads, an iconic hamburger, filled bagels, tarts, salads, and much more. The pizzas are the very best and every mouthful is a delight to the taste buds with the perfect texture and incredible taste. 

You should try the Vegan focaccia with avocado, cherry tomatoes, and rocket with their own take on spicy fried chickpeas. It’s a wonderful combination. We also recommend you try their Bakery Burger – a house-made beef patty (sourced locally from Hope Meat), roasted tomatoes, onion marmalade, aioli and butter lettuce on their fresh baked sourdough bun. Trust us it tastes as good as it sounds. 

For those with a sweet tooth, the bakery offers delectable pastries, including their famous almond croissants and pain au chocolat.
