If you’re anything like us and you love a good time, then you absolutely have to check out Cubaña. Trust us when we say, it’s one of the best spots in Durban. It’s the at heart of the Durban Vibe and totally rocks.

As soon as you step inside Cubaña, you’re transported to a vibrant Cuban-inspired paradise. With colorful murals, vintage posters, and tropical motifs, the decor is an experience in itself. And the music? Oh, it’s the perfect soundtrack to the Durban Vibe.

Let’s talk about the menu and the awesome food. We dream about their breakfast — the Cubaña special with eggs, bacon, tomato, chips, Steak and Avo is something else. The generous portions have us hooked. And don’t even get us started on their rooibos tea; we can’t get enough of it! 

When it comes to appetizers, you should go for the empanadas. They’re perfectly crispy with a deliciously balanced filling. And those fried plantains? So tasty and satisfying.

For lunch, you’ve got to try “The Boss” platter. 300g Steak, 4 lamb chops, 500g pork steak and then a heap of chicken wings.  It comes with uJeqe topped with cheese — absolute perfection! But the real star of the show? The Southside wild wings and fries. Seriously, they’re the best in Durban. You’ll be on cloud nine after just one bite. Let’s not forget about their grilled seafood (check out the Queens platter for this), hearty stews, and those mouthwatering Cuban-style pork ribs. 

Now, let’s talk drinks. Cubaña boasts an impressive cocktail menu with everything from classic Cuban cocktails like mojitos and daiquiris to creative signature cocktails crafted by their expert mixologists. And don’t worry, non-alcoholic folks, they’ve got mocktails for you too. This is the best place in Durban for cocktails and along with the music it’s THE place to party. The Durban Vibe thrives here. It offers great and delicious food during the day and it turns into a club in the evening. This is South Africa’s only authentic Latino social café, it’s a great spot to have drinks and catch up with friends.

Our final thoughts? The music at Cubaña is always on point, with DJs who know exactly how to keep the party going. Whether you’re looking for a casual meal, a night out with friends, or a memorable celebration, Cubaña has got you covered. Just a little tip from us: make sure you make a reservation in advance to secure your spot. Cubaña fills up fast, but trust us, it’s worth it.
